response to the korean reading/ Gilanton Leia/ISS 2017

"Native Speaker" by Chang Rae-Lee was very interrested but i little bit hard to understood. I think that we haven't all details for understood correctly the story. First the narrator speak about her wife and her relation with she. But after, he speak about her work relation. they are few pages about two characters Kwang and jack. I was very confusing. But the second text "This Burns my Heart" by Samuel Park are more easier. i don't know how, but the story of Soo-Ja are more significant to me. When i read for the first part, and more specially when you read the letter. You think that the husband are really a bastard ( sorry ) because he took the money of Soo Ja father, who are dead, and he gone with her daughter in America. But when you read more, we understand. The husband leave because he suspect her wife to have a lover, Yul and he ask to choose yul or him and Hana " It is the only way our marriage can survive". But we learnt too that the relation between Soo-ja and the father-in-law wasn't good " the same hard voice, unsmiling and emotionless" or " like a reprimand". And the conversation with their husband are very tense what she forgive to speak with their daughter.
